Abdul Kadir Jumaat received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from the Universiti Teknologi MARA, (UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia and the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics (Mathematical Imaging Methods) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He is now serving as a principal research fellow at the Institute for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (IBDAAI) in UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia as well as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, UiTM. His research interests include image/signal processing, biometrics, medical image and analysis, and pattern recognition. Currently, he is appointed as an Editor-in-Chief of Mathematics Letters and an Editor for Malaysian Journal of Computing. He is actively conducting research in his field of interests through the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has received research grants with total amount more than RM 175 thousand from various agencies as a project leader and co-researcher. Currently, more than 20 papers have been published and many more will be published in the near future.
