Mohd Kamal Mohd Nawawi

Dr. Associate Professor

Dr. Mohd Kamal Mohd Nawawi is an Associate Professor of Operational Research at the School of Quantitative Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya, an MSc from Universiti Utara Malaysia, and a PhD from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. His research interests span decision analysis, discrete-event simulation, data envelopment analysis, queuing theory, lean and sustainable manufacturing, and knowledge-based systems. Dr. Kamal has led multiple national and university-level research grants and has authored numerous publications. He actively supervises postgraduate students and contributes to both national and international research collaborations. His work reflects a strong commitment to advancing operational research and simulation methodologies in support of sustainable development.
