Muhammad Zaini Ahmad

Dr. Professor

Muhammad Zaini Ahmad was born on November 6, 1977, in Kedah, Malaysia. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), followed by a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Industrial Computing, both from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). To expand his international academic perspectives, he also undertook a prestigious research programme at Ghent University, Belgium.

Currently, he serves as a Professor within the Department of Mathematical Sciences under the Faculty of Intelligent Computing at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), where he is a member of the University Senate and former Dean of the Institute of Engineering Mathematics. He concurrently holds an appointment as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). His specialized research focuses on numerical methods, uncertainty modelling, and fuzzy differential equations, with a strong footprint of high-impact articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Heavily involved in global networking, he successfully served as the Chairperson for the International Conference on Mathematics, Engineering and Industrial Applications (ICoMEIA) in 2024 to champion cross-disciplinary scientific collaboration.
